Ducati 916 charging problems regulator rectifiter

Below is the regulator rectifier that caused so many issues on my bike. It started off with the temperature guage not reading correctly and the front bulb blowing then battery levels dropping.
Now with a replacement Suzuki regulator rectifier and a new battery that has been charged up. The bike is running as it should.
I am not happy that the RR52 regulator rectifier that I bought from electrexworld did not last very long. There are so many bad reports about the electrical system on Italian bikes but when the components fail or are made elsewhere, the brand gets a bad reputation....

I think I'm going through what you're going through! Interested to know what Suzuki R/R you used and why?

And having scanned your posts, I think I've had every one of your issues too. Even the blocked overflow in the filler cap. Gotta love them Dukes!

Keep up the good work though!

I think I'm having the same problem with my 748. Curious to know what Suzuki R/R you used any why. I'm assuming it was for reliability?

Cheers

Dino I have tried to find out what r/r it was but no success. If you want to try a second hand dealer then ask their advice and make sure the charging is correct. I took a calculated risk but the r/r is working as it should now at the correct voltages. I hope you can find a good r/r or find the fault.
